Function / Content

This series consists of surveyor's level books which record land levels in various locations. Included are Alice Springs, Rum Jungle, rice fields, and Darwin Aerodrome. The books record the following readings; back sight, intermediate, fore sight, rise fall, reduced levels, lengths, and remarks. Some of the books are annotated "indexed" in 1956/1957. These books were transferred by the Historical Society of the Northern Territory in 1994.
